In 1984, Neil Laing formed Laing’s Lock & Key Service Ltd. - a small business based out of Central Saanich near Victoria. He was driven by his curiosity and fascination with locks and keys and by the pleasure of helping people. With 35 years in security, locksmithing was a natural fit. The combination of quality service, honesty and customer support brought success to his company.

Neil was first joined by his daughter, Candace, in 1997 (now moved on) and his son, Jim, in 2000 to help with the growing business. In 2005 Jim took over the drivers seat and Neil has taken a lesser role but is still very active serving the Saanich Peninsula and southern Gulf Islands.

To this day, Laing's Lock & Key Service Ltd. remains a local community-minded business with a well-deserved reputation for excellence that stretches from the Saanich Peninsula to greater Victoria and the Western Communities.
